Monday, March 4 – 7pm
The Nightingale by Greta Schoenberg (21 minutes) *A production of MOTION PICTURES and presented alongside the OntheBoards.tv series

A silent dance film involving San Francisco artists from four disciplines, Greta Schoenberg's The Nightingale combines dance, drama, music and cinematography into a classic film noir-based narrative. Created in collaboration with videographer Ben Estabrook, composer Rob Reich, theater director Eric Reid, graphic artist Randall Heath, and starring former ODC dancer Private Freeman as well as Nol Simonse, and Maria LaMance, the film was shot entirely in the Mission at local notables like Amnesia Bar and (the late) Spork.  Click here for more info.

This 21 minute film will be preceded by a discussion including rehearsal outtakes and followed by a Q&A with the choreographer/director.
