Project B presents Tanya Bello's Games We Play(ed) Saturday, February 23 at 8pm and Sunday, February 24 at 7pm $20 pre-sale, $22 at the door
Project. B. presents the world premiere of Tanya Bello's Games We Play(ed) with original score by Jesse Solomon Clark and San Francisco debut of Washington, D.C.'s Karen Reedy Dance performing Sleepwalking.
Tanya Bello's Games We Play(ed) brings to a theatrical setting a world that juxtaposes adulthood to the innocence of how relationships are fostered. Games We Play(ed) looks at the sentimental longing of trusting abandonment and overabundance of deep expressions that fostered genuine openness and vulnerability. The premiere of this piece will be accompanied with a new original score by Jesse Solomon Clark.
Karen Reedy's Sleepwalking draws the audience into a dreamscape that examines falling asleep, insomnia, lullabies, “sweet dreams,” and nightmares. Originally commissioned as a site-specific work for the 2008 Kennedy Center Local Commissioning Project, the dance for seven is set to a sound score of international lullabies, ambient sounds and percussion. Karen Reedy Dance invites the audience on a journey through a full night of sleep and sleeplessness, exploring the magical realm of the subconscious mind. Project. B. Dancers: Norma Fong and Katherine Wells.
