Do you want a chance to choreograph?
TAKE OFF WITH THE ODC PILOT PROGRAM

Emerging choreographers are immersed in an intimate 11-week session where they are mentored in choreography and aspects of self-production including promotion, publicity, marketing and technical theater production. Curated by the ODC School and the ODC Theater, the Pilot Program encourages the artistic and professional development of up and coming choreographers by providing a performance venue and a framework for self-production and promotion. The emphasis on collective spirit and the philosophy of "by our own bootstraps" creates artistic alliances and a strong support system. Choreographers choose what kind of piece they would like to create, and find their own dancers for the work.  Selection is based on the strength of the written project description and its clarity of intent.

Past Pilot Artists have burst onto the Bay Area dance scene and beyond and credit Pilot as an invaluable experience. The Pilot Program has supported over 290 artists since its inception in 1990.

Previous Pilot Artists Include:
Lizz Roman, Kara Davis, Jo Kreiter, Nora Chipaumire, Amy Foley, Sarah Michelson, Faye Driscoll, Brittany Brown Ceres, Erika Chong Shuch, Todd Eckert, Marina Fukushima, Amy Seiwert, Paco Gomes, Andrew Wass, Kelly Kemp, Kat Galasso
Check out the next Pilot performances!  Pilot 59  “Hello My name is….” Performances Saturday/Sunday, November 19/20, 2011, 8:00pm, ODC Dance Commons.  Tickets available on Brown Paper Tickets (www.brownpapertickets.com)
