The ODC School Audition Series brings dancers and choreographers together in a class context. Dancers may use class cards or pay a $14 drop in fee ($1 cash discount). Come early to fill out information forms and bring a resume if you have one.

David Herrera Performance Company (DHPCo) is seeking 2-3 male and female dancers/performers to join the company for their 2011/12 touring season. Dancers should have a strong background in modern/contemporary, release, and contact/partnering technique. In addition, performers should be comfortable and able to use voice and theater.
DHPCo’s 2011/12 season runs August 2011 - May 2012. Rehearsals will be held on Tue (10am-2pm) & Mon or Wed (10am-1pm). In addition to the Home Season, there are mandatory touring dates in/out of state. Rehearsals and performances are paid by stipends. DHPCo is a nationally touring, modern dance company from SF, CA. Through the use of media elements, theatrical measures, and athleticism the company produces emotionally textured material that is culturally rich and relevant in contemporary America. DHPCo has held a residency at Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts, featured in the S.F. Guardian, San Jose Mercury News, and BlogTalkRadio. DHPCo is fiscally sponsored by Dancer's Group.
David Herrera is a choreographer, dancer, actor, and producer. He holds his BA in American Studies and Theater Arts and a Post-Graduate degree from UCSC. David performed with Nannette Brodie Dance Theater (Long Beach, CA), PUSH Dance Company (S.F), Marina Fukushima, and in Levy Dance’s On-Site work Intimate Visibility. He guest choreographed for PUSH and held a workshop at UCSC. David studied Meisner Acting method under The William Alderson Acting Studio (Los Angeles). He officially launched DHPCo in 2007.
