The ODC School Audition Series brings dancers and choreographers together in a class context. Dancers may use class cards or pay a $14 drop in fee ($1 cash discount). Come early to fill out information forms and bring a resume if you have one.

Printz Dance Project (PDP) will be holding an open audition for an evening-length, interdisciplinary production to premiere late 2011 at Z Space/Theater Artaud, SF. PDP is looking for male and female dancers with skills in a mix of any of the following styles: contemporary, modern, jazz, hip-hop and strong ability to partner with vibrant, expressive performance quality.
This will be a paid project. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. In addition, dancers must be available for a residency August 22-25. Load in/shows will be November 21-23 and November 27-December 4.
Printz Dance Project performs a repertory of accessible, athletic work that is punctuated by fluidity and musicality. PDP has performed in festivals, shared evenings and self-produced shows all over the Bay Area, including 10 home seasons at the Cowell Theater. The company has toured nationally from New York to Los Angeles and internationally in Russia, Lithuania, and Ireland. For more information: www.printzdance.org or on facebook/youtube.
Stacey Printz, San Francisco based choreographer, dancer and educator, received her sociology and dance degrees from UC Irvine. In addition to teaching at SF/Lines Dance Center, she has been on staff at St. Mary’s College, Sonoma State University and RoCo and has taught master classes and workshops for Universities and studios across the US and abroad. She has also collaborated on multi-genre, full evening performing arts pieces including Marc Bamuthi Joseph’s internationally acclaimed works - “Scourge” and “The Break/s.” |
