Borrowing from the disciplines of choreography, performance, theater, public and conceptual art, Carlson has received over thirty commissions and numerous awards for her artistic work. Yellow Bud was commissioned by Children’s Theater Company in Minneapolis and is being workshopped as part of ODC School’s new Sandbox Series choreography lab mentorship program, funded by the Mellon Foundation. Yellow Bud was developed with support by the Humanities Center and the Drama Dept. at Stanford University.
